ROUNDEL STUDIOS are located in the heart of the countryside on a peaceful Kentish hop farm and yet only two miles from the M25.

Roundel are private studios, ideally suited to creative development and recording. There have been countless albums and projects recorded here over the last 20 years; our list of clients has included Paul McCartney, Peter Green and the Splinter Group, Tony Hadley, Roger Whittaker, Dr Feelgood, Sonny Black, Nine Below Zero, Eric Bibb and more groups than you can shake a stick at!

Roundel is a great place to record...

The 'live' room is round, resulting in a great live sound for drums, vocals, horns and strings. Approximately 50% of the booking time is available to outside clients - bands that want a great sound; production/record companies who want to maximise their budgets and writers who want to develop and record their music in a conducive environment. Roundel Studios are often compared to "Chess" or "Sun" Studios. It's a great place to record music.

Our main interest has always been music - groups, bands, classical, jazz, blues vocals etc, on a few occasions managing to cram in a 22 piece big band. We have also recorded radio comedy shows and corporate programmes. We take on mastering for outside clients - nothing is too big or too small (so far), after all, today's kid with a guitar could be tomorrow's Eric Clapton.

Sometimes schools bring their music students here to record, eg audition pieces for university and college entrance or for their own creative musical productions. Also, on occasions, we run training courses.
